Powerlifters want to get stronger, sure, but it's a very specific type of strength, where their training is oriented around improving their 1-rep max strength on the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Or I'd come across powerlifting sites for people trying to get stronger, but that didn't seem all that much better. I'm not a bodybuilder, I don't live in the gym, and I don't ever plan on stepping on stage. Here and there, I'd come across bodybuilding sites for people trying to build muscle, but it never resonated with me. But almost nothing was written from the perspective of a skinny guy trying to gain weight, to become bigger and stronger than he was last workout. I was a skinny dude, underweight and out of shape, and I wanted to become bigger, stronger, and more muscular. My PRs are like 330 / 240 / 185, 1x5 / 3x5 / 5x5, deadlift / squat / bench so that should give you a sense of how much salt you should take my advice with. One of the things I found frustrating when I first started looking for muscle-building information was that none of it seemed to be written for me. I've also started to get a bit of knee pain and inner thigh strain so I've replaced the squats with use of the abductor/adductor machines (AKA the birthing machines) hoping that helps me get past whatever is wrong - but once I'm fixed I think I'll go back to this. Occasionally I'll mix in Pendlay rows and then be able to fit both under-hand pull-ups and face-pulls in the same day without my arms giving out. I often don't finish everything, I consider it a successful gym day if I do the first 3-4 exercises. I usually play it by the ear and do something like Is an Omar Isuf video where he talks about why face-pulls are good for this reason. It's no worse than bench and overhead press, but if you're not careful it's easy to develop an imbalance between shoulder internal / external rotation, as typically people work their shoulder in internal rotation a lot more.
